Solo founder, electrical engineering background, not a real dev. I'm prepping for the Goethe B1 exam myself in September and couldn't find anyone to practice the speaking part with. So I built a tool: you have a live voice conversation in German with an AI that runs the actual Goethe oral format and corrects you.
Stack: Next.js + Supabase + Gemini Live.
It's live but rough. I'd love brutal feedback on the UX and anything obviously broken.
Known issue I'm already on: the Gemini key is currently reachable client-side — accepted beta tradeoff, ephemeral tokens are the next task. Roast everything else.
Comment if you're prepping for a German exam and I'll DM you access.
A solo founder with an electrical engineering background created a voice AI tool to practice for the Goethe B1 German oral exam. The tool uses Next.js, Supabase, and Gemini Live. The user seeks feedback on the UX and any issues, noting a known security issue with the Gemini key being client-side. They invite comments from others preparing for a German exam for access.
